The following privacy policy applies to all DownUnder GeoSolutions (Pty) Ltd (DUG) users, and conforms to Internet privacy standards. It is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and deal with your personal information.

Collection of Information

In order to use the DUG website, we may request information from you in order to provide the best service possible.

Information collected would generally comprise name, address, postal address, telephone, fax and email contact details, as well as details of the DUG products that you use. High level information in relation to your business may also be collected.

Should you contact us requiring technical or similar assistance, information relating to your problem or suggested solution are also recorded by us to assist customer relationship management.

 

How we use this information

If you purchase a product or service from us, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. You may be required to provide contact information (such as name, email, and postal address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). We use this information for ordering and billing purposes, and if we have trouble processing an order, to contact you.

We collect personal information so that we can communicate with you about the software product that you use and efficiently administer all products and services we provide to you. These communications could relate to software upgrades, feature variations or enhancements, any problems discovered with the software and corrective measures that may be taken, and informing you of other DUG products.

Correspondence is recorded in order to provide service references, and to assist in our staff development.

 

Information storage

An electronic customer management and database system is used to store personal information. This system is accessed by authorised users and contains security features to ensure the protection and integrity of the data that we hold.

We use PayPal to process all online purchases; as a result, financial details such as credit card numbers are never collected or stored by DUG.

Disclosure

DUG may at its discretion use other third parties to provide essential services on our website or for our business processes. We may share your details as necessary for the third party to provide that service. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose. DUG does not share any information with third parties for any unknown or unrelated uses.

 

Legal

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our web site.

Links on the DUG site to external entities are not covered by this policy. The terms and conditions set out in this privacy statement only cover content hosted on www.dugeo.com and www.dugsw.com.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.  If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our homepage.

 

Payment Security

DUG uses PayPal for its online payment transactions. PayPal processes online payment transactions for thousands of global merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the Internet.

All payment details are provided by you directly to PayPal. DUG never collects or stores any payment information.

All PayPal transactions are secure transactions:

  • All transactions are performed under 128-bit SSL encryption
  • Your credit card number or bank details are not divulged to DUG or any third party
  • All transaction data is encrypted for storage within PayPal's data centre

Delivery Policy

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation from PayPal containing your order details to the email address that you have provided. Because all DUG software licenses are node-locked to specific hardware, we require a unique hardware code before we can issue the license.

To retrieve this hardware code, please follow these steps:

1. install any DUG software on the computer you wish to license
2. launch the software
3. when prompted (or from the Help menu), open the License Manager
4. choose 'Purchase or Replace a License'; click Next
5. click 'Save Hardware Code' and enter a filename
6. email that file to support@dugeo.com

These instructions are also provided in the order confirmation email, and on the web site.

You will receive your license within one Australian business day.

Refund & Returns Policy

DUG wants you to be fully satisfied with your purchase, and will accept returns of online purchases, no questions asked, within 30 days of receipt of license keys.

To request a refund, please uninstall the software then email support@dugeo.com with your purchase details. By requesting a refund, you agree not to continue using the provided license keys.

All refunds for purchases made via PayPal will be processed via PayPal.
