2.5.0 Release Notes
In addition to maintenance fixes from previous versions, this release contains the following major improvements, new tools, and capabilities:
- graphs and a sliding window correlation track to QC your Synthetics,
- generate incoherence and instantaneous amplitude, frequency, phase and sweetness attributes,
- spectral decomposition of volumes,
- build velocity models from well checkshots,
- smoothing process for velocity and other low-frequency volumes,
- read and use volumes, horizons, faults, and wells from Petrel,
- read and use wells from OpenWorks.
We've also improved DUG Insight with several smaller additions and changes:
- show velocity model curves and drift curves along with Synthetics,
- crossplot interface probability density functions (generated by DUG Rock),
- calculate intercept and gradient from either angle stacks or gathers.
Finally, we've made DUG Insight easier to use with these user interface improvements:
- you can drag-and-drop or sort your resources quickly and easily, organising them into folders,
- you'll get better progress indication as a session loads, and can cancel if you've chosen the wrong one,
- you can flip the horizontal axis in section views using Ctrl+R,
- hold down Ctrl while clicking on the screen-capture button to copy the image to your clipboard,
- you can assign colours to survey grids,
- Insight will notify you when new versions are available for download.
An updated and expanded version of the user manual is available here; you can also contact us with any questions.
2.5.1 Release Notes
This maintenance release contains the following additional changes:
- fixes an issue causing some X/Y horizons to not load from sessions,
- fixes a rare exception using the Structurally-Oriented Filter with certain size parameters, and
- adds extra automatic verification of depth units when using the Petrel Link
2.5.2 Release Notes
This maintenance release contains the following additional changes:
- improves the results from spectral decomposition, velocity conversion, and volume smoothing processes,
- fixes a rare exception when opening the 3D settings window,
- resolves number formatting and numeric input issues for European locales, and
- the SEG-Y loader handles degenerate survey tie points more gracefully
Users of the Petrel link will need to install a new version when upgrading to Insight 2.5.2; please contact support@dugeo.com for details.
2.5.3 Release Notes
This maintenance release contains the following additional changes:
- horizon export now uses a fixed-width column for 2D line names
- SEG-Y export now uses mm for the sample rate of depth volumes
- velocity conversion handles gracefully several degenerate cases (such as a wrong input velocity type)
- work around Java bugs triggered on Windows when waking a sleeping PC or adding/removing displays
- fix writing of optimised volumes for gathers
- add support for importing well time/depth pairs defined in TVD instead of MD
